Editorial policy
Rural County Review aims to make county geography clear without making the evidence sound stronger than it is. We distinguish observable features from interpretation and make room for uncertainty where a detail does not settle a question.
Accuracy and sources
We check factual claims against suitable material and give context where a map, name or landscape feature could be read in more than one way. We avoid presenting a plausible interpretation as established fact. Readers may contact us with corrections or useful source suggestions.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for reader interest and relevance to the publication's subject. A commercial relationship does not determine our editorial conclusions, and contributions are assessed for clarity, fit and support for their claims.
Corrections
When we identify a material error, we correct the affected text and make the change clear to readers where appropriate. Corrections can be sent through the Contact page with the page or passage in question and an explanation of the issue.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, gifted or otherwise partner-supported material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when used, they are identified as illustrations rather than documentary depictions.
